TOEFL Waiver Mails

Sent the TOEFL waiver request mails to my target schools today. Even if one of the schools plays spoil-sport i will have to take TOEFL. I have decided that i must get TOEFL and all other nitty gritties out of my way before July-31-2010. Once essays are published i simply want to focus on putting down my story.

Will approach my under-graduate institution next week to get the transcripts done. Or can we simply send across photocopies of under-graduate degree? If transcripts can wait till admit then i will also wait ;)

Any suggestions??

Most(almost all in fact) schools can do with photocopies of transcripts. They understand the hazzle us Indian grads have to go through to get transcripts. You shud be able to see this information in the school website under approrpiate section.

Hi Wallace

Can u please let me know what transcripts actually refer here ?

DO they mean the answer sheets of the exams you attempted ? I dont think so ?

If not, and what I assume, are they the result score cards ?
Please clarify !

been following your blog for stime now ... for the admissions I dont think we require the transcripts , a xerox would do . Transcript is required only after you get an admit.

initially you scan your transcripts and upload them with your application. 'later' you have to provide official transcripts... the school will let you know when (or if at all) it's time for that. that is at least how I remember it.

@Dreamer, Bizwiz and prasad -- thanks a lot for the info

@Cybreek -- transcripts refer to summary of your marks in various subjects that you studied during under-grad....

Braveheart,
Have been following your informative blog for a while. Thanks a lot for your posts.

I am a fellow applicant this fall to class of '13. Reg. the TOEFL waiver requests, what kind of proof do the colleges you applied to expect, in order to approve the waiver?

Thanks in advance!

@myriad -- they would need transcripts from your under-grad insti mentioning that your education was in english...
